Phos remover

HI,
Ive added a small phos reactor to my sump 2fish , it running at a slow speed the media is just barely rolling around they said to avoid high water flow cause it may cause the material to break down. I used the iron based (2 fish) material.
Anyway I see a real improvement in my water after 24 hours the green is fading and the coraline is starting to show.
I must be over feeding, or the bioload is high.
I ve read that the iron based phos reactor material is safer than the alumn based for reef systems, Any thooughts..

ps this fish suppluy store had some great prices very freindly, had some really nice prices on bulk carbon thats in a pellet form that dosne't leach phos .

Yes, iron based is better! Phos reactors work well as I also have one...Kent's reactor

might want to give it a try next time Its much better then the 2 little fishes stuff PURA Phos-Lock Filter Media by Magnavore - AquaCave

now with the iron based Ferric Oxide you have to watch out to make sure it keeps just floating at a slow soft tumble with in the reactor or it will set up and get hard and will do nothing at all then you in some cases need to chunk it up to remove it..

thanks for the replies, I wasn't sure if that stuff would stay in the reactors, do you need a sock or will it be fine without. I noticed it had lots of rave reviews.
I did notice the 2 fish product did require a extensive rinse in the sink and they warn you to be sure and flush be fore you use it, I ran it in a bucket in the sink it took a while to run clear.
