| Doing water changes is how I keep my parameters in check. It's a good idea to check new/old water so, you don't have a spike in kh too quickly. |

Luna | I run all my make up water through the kalk except for two times a day when I turn the pump on to mix I shut the ATO off for 2 hrs but then it is right back on. Are you testing pH with a meter or test kit?? |

I also dose Kalk but only at night and not every night. Im afraid if I dose every night, my Cal levels will sky rocket. When I do dose(at night) my ph stays around 7.94(-/+) but never passes 8.0 I did what you had suggested, which was to place the air pump outside(3-4 wks) and that didnt change a thing. The only factor that Im thinking about is my O2 may be a little low(Salifert O2 test kit= 7- . Im open for any other suggestions that you may have. Luna |
