| I had the same problem. My tank is downstairs and around the corner from the heater. No matter how much soda I added I could never keep my PH above 8. Then I read a post by tangster to help someone else about PH and I added a line on the skimmer to the outside.

| You know I wish I read these thread a couple years back when I had my 20 long going. I had constant pH issues with that tank. Although I think nanos are prone to that a bit, I realize now that it was right near my gas heater vent in my floor... drat!

| Well I just got done running a line outside of the house to hook up to the skimmer air inlet, hope this helps somewhat. _________ Scott 265g (Peninsula)

| if you can put the inlet side of the air pump outside of your house that would make a huge difference

The tank is in the basement with the only way out is the garage or go up stairs so there is not window to use. I will work on some way of getting air in the fish room if I have to pump cold air in. |
