Have you been keeping up with your waterchanges?
Also when you do them to you blast your rocks with a power head to get all the junk out that is in the dead spots? I try to do this ever few months to help out.

It May Be That You Are Feeding To Much Causing A High Nutrient Level In Your Paleagic Area Of Your Tank(water Column). Do You Have Excess Algae As Well? No3 Works Like A Fertilizer And Contributes To Excessive Algae Growth.
Nitrates Under 10ppm Are Acceptable As Corals And Tridacna Clams Feed On It, However The Level You Are At Could Be Fatal To Livestock Especially Over Time.
Water Changes Are Your Best Bet At Lowering The High Nitrate Level. There Are Also Nitrate Sponges And Powders Etc. To Aid In Lowering Your Nitrates.
