Question Kalkwausser should be aged?

HI,
I was reading some conversion table for saltwater and one article mentioned that for phos removal 5 day old kalkwausser removes 90 % more phos, and 2 day old kalkwasseur may only remove about 50 % of the Phos. What the,, am I reading this correctly that aging your Kalk 5 days me be benafit if your trying to lower a undesirable phos level. Of course you want to avoid excessive mixing to prevent air contact.
Doug?

The aging is only for people who use tap water and kalk for top off. If you are mixing it with RO/DI water, there's no reason to age it. (In fact, if you did age it and the container had too much CO2 in it, then you would actually ruin the kalk.

Default Thanks

hI,
That makes sense now you mention it, fresh tap water may have considerable phos and if you age it with the Kalk may remove more of the phos as it ages in the tap water.
Thanks for the info.
Now I can relax, I have been using R/o water to make it up .
