| Re: Kalk Drip help Hello Birdlady: JohnO:
am using Kent Marine. One thing I noticed is how clear my water got after 1 day of adding the solution. I am ordering a new Cal test kit. I just cant see how the cal level didnt go up. I have a Salifert kit. Think I will get one of the others. Dont recall the name but Craig uses them. Want to say lammont but thats not quite right.........
I think I can figure this Kalk thing out. John you mentioned other bennifits to using Kalk? What are these besides stable Ions and good PH? Thanks John
Jay
Thanks Birdlady for the advice...

Like I wrote before Jay, be careful :-)
I do remember, just before I had a huge snow storm in my old tank after adding KW the water was soooo clear it almost seemed like it was crystaline and glittered.
I believe one of the benefits of KW is that as it drip the very small Calcium Carbonate clouds that form actually trap Phosphates. So if your Phosphate levels are high it's a benefit, but if they are already very low it could be a problem if you are keeping some corals

| Re: Kalk Drip help i have dripped kalk but does that even boost your cal. I have used it before and it doesn't seem to help. can overdosing kalk lead to low mag levels. |
