| Iron I just want to know how many of you fellow reefers dose with iron?
Appearantly iron is beneficial to corals, anemone's and other photosynthetic organisms due to increased growth, coloration and expansion. Be careful however as to the type of iron you use. It must be ferric citrate or chelated with EDTA as these are the only forms that are, and remain stable, at the pH of natural seawater.
Free living algae and seaweed also benefits from iron dosing/supplementing, however, it should be done slowly or the outbreak of microalgae will be encouraged! _________ 125gal.w/Mag9.5 return(dual megaflow)>Mag7 pump Aqua Cev180skimmer.Wave2k Hamilton Reefstar(2)250watthqi(mh)pend.a Yellow, Naso Tang Red Lip Blenny Percula Clown Demoiselles Niger Trigger F.
