| How does one contact Salifert They seem to have no email on the site, the only email i found referring to them doesn't work lol.
I can't believe any company would want to be this hard to contact, how do they manage to sell their products? lol
If anyone has any clues i would be most happy.

| Hi Luna.
I haven't yet no, i only really needed it this morning.
Unfortunately i have an issue with my current LFS.
I used to buy the RO water there, having a smallish tank i've found it easier just to buy the water.
I made up my water change water and for the first time in ages i decided to test it, salinity was 1.030!
This RO water was salted! They never said ti was slightly salted, it never used to be.
I suspected something odd because i seemed to be using top off water almost every day, which is unusual lol I put it down to the weather, but alas it was just 1.017 RO water GRRR.
Besides the point really lol, but at present i have no LFS shop i care to spend my money on, or in that matter ask for info.

I didn't even think to question it at first because it was such a bizzare thing to want to do, it shocked me lol.
I think it's about time i actually got myself a ro unit.
Whats so odd is that 1.017 isn't really good for any livestock, yet you still need to spend the effort in preparing proper water for a change.
I just don't understand what they are doing. |

I just don't understand what they are doing. | 1.017 is actually good for fish. At the LFS I worked at, we kept our fish holding systems at 1.018. Its less stressful on fish to adjust to higher salinity then to adjust to a lower one. The reason why we have to keep a salinity of 1.020-1.026 is for everything else we keep in our tanks. More then likely, the store you bought from added it for their convience cause they probaly keep their fish holding tanks at 1.017 or there about and forgot to mention it to their customers. |

I dont keep fish so its a bit pointless for me, i will ask them though out of curiosity
Thanks for the reply |
