| great article that would be the one that got me on the two part mixture. although the amount i need to dose everyday i think a kalkwasser dripper is in my future, and as the budget expands a calcium reactor. |

| | 3reef Moderator | Hey Crappyballer, how about a Kalk stirrer in-line with auto top off. It is what I'm using, as well as a CA reactor. It's a lot less maintenance than a drip and it allows you to get an auto top off.

| | 3reef Moderator | This is the one I have Aqua Medic Kalk it's not the best and after about 20 mods it's working the way I want.
I googled Kalk stirrer and got a ton of DIY hits.
i run a Tunze Osmolator But again this can be achieved by DIYing something.
I don't have a pic of the whole thing as it is in 2 seperate rooms. but I hope the links help

| | 3reef Moderator | OK so we have high jacked clownfish's thread here Sorry.
The amount of Kalk is trial and error until you find the sweat spot. Just like if you were dripping it. The stirrer runs 24/7 no need to control it

| Jason if you have a ca reactor why are you putting kalk? What do you mean by less maintenance than a drip? The reason I ask is that I got a ca reactor but have not hooked it up yet, what do you have to do to the drip.
Thanks
