Very good idea! Whole test set costs around 85-100$. Moreover, hobbyist test are inaccurate (around 10% accuracy) and require at least 2-3 repetitions.

I don't understand how will a TDS meter, Refugium and Supps tell you how much Potassium, Boron, etc. it in your water?

As Boron is a common 'filler' in cheap salts, I thought it would be cool to know how much is in you tank fooling you ALK tests

if they test for biological enzymes that would initiate problems such as diseases, then yea its a good idea
but i do all my own tests for the same stuff they do, so its no interest to me, different stokes for different folks. good info though. kudos

Hey reef_guru,
Do you have a retail source for Boron testing? and for Potassium are you using the Korallen Zucht kit? I hate that kit. The reading is way to subjective.

Sweet thanks. I didn't know Salifert made a boron test kit.

the Potassium test only reads up to 50 ppm or am I reading the link wrong?
