| digital nitrate and salt monitors?? has anyone used the digital nitrate or salt monitors made by american marine ? and if so do they work well and are they worth the money or should i just stick to the simple test strips?? |

| I have the PH and Cal monitors from Pinpoint(American Marine). I think that they are good, only draw back is that they have to be re-calibrated every so often. If your using those dip strips, your wasting your money. Those are no good, IMO. | since they make so many monitors my controler now can do temp and ph if i were to buy 2 more which two should i go for??
im thinking nitrate then salt or calcium?? |

| i would try to have your temp monitered by something non-electronic. I know it may be convenient to have it done so, but when power goes out or it malfunctions you could really damage your tank. Omard had his thermometers malfunction and give him a lower than actual reading |

| I know some people don't like them but I have a glass thermometer that suctions to the side of the tank. I know of a lot of people that have them, very accurate and easy. | mine was 1.05 at walmart. not to much to pay for the assurance of knowing actual temp in case of emergency |
