Thanks for your help. Just ordered some online. When it gets here you think I should do another water change or just stay on my normal maint. schedule and due one every Sunday.

I do 4 gal weekly in my 12 gal Nano (no skimmer)...whether it needs it or not...seems to work ok for my tank.

Check water params...they will tell you if you need to do more or less often.

Good luck.

Rgds,

Scott

For an example, if you have 30gal of water, with 400ppm of CA and due to your inhabitans
250ppm are depleted in one weeks time, so you do a water change of 20% the other 80%
remaining is 150ppm, there for if you are only adding 20% water @ 450ppm that 450 is divided in to 80% of the total water the remaining water will only have a value of 360ppm
more less depending on the CA level of your sw mix. To my opinion it is much easier to add
some calcium or Kalwasser that brings up your tanks dkh than to relay on water changes alone
