Question Calcium To High ?????

My calcium on both tanks stays around 600 - 650 and I do not add anything to my tanks. I have well water that is carbon filtered and softened and then 6 stage RODI. I dont know what to do to reduce the calcium content. Any help would be welcomed. Thanks Rodney

Are you using oceanic salt? - notorious for high Ca content.

If not, what kind do you use?

Corals look O.K and healthy ? Test Kits fresh ? if New and salifert they had a issue with some bad kits these last few month.. But Honestly I keep my Ca around 550 to 600 anyways so I guess the High Ca. is a matter of you you talk with .. Whats the DKH level as well as Magnesium are you doseing any strontiumn ? That will jack your Ca test way up..

Thats the problem the mag is a tad low but the DKH should be up around 12or so the ca has it suppressed and on top.. Bump the mag on up to 1500 or so and raise the DKH up to atleat 11 and you will see the ca drop off. is there a larfe bio demand for Ca in your tank ?
