| B-Ionic Hi Everyone,
Happy New Year to All.
I have been dosing with B-ionic two part system.
I just measured my tank as I have been doing weekly since the tank has only been up for six months. Below are my findings
Ph 8.4
CA 500
Alk 12.9 dkh/4.6 Meq/l
Water Temp 79.9
Salinity 1.026
I know both the Alk and Ca are pushing the upper limits..Here is my question, should I continue to dose with the amount I have been using daily?
I have been dosing 60 ml in a system that includes a 72 gallon tank and about 15 gallons in a 20 gallon sump. _________ 72 gallon bowed 150lbs LR 60 lbs LS
2 Percs
1 Chevron Tang
Hippo Tang
Six Line Wrasse
Coral Banded Shrimp
Cleaner Shrimp
Starry Blenny
4 Lyretail Anthias
Long Polyp Toadstool
Montipora
Long Tentacle Anenome
Short tentacle plate
Pulsing Xenia
Green Star polyps
Frogspawn
29 gallon
2 Clown
1 Coral Beauty
1 Fairy Wrasse
24 FOWLR
Dwarf Lion
125 gallon African Cichlid Tank http://home.comcast.net/~pizzal/index.html

| If the amount your dosing continues to push the levels higher than don't dose that much. You should be dosing what you need to maintain appropriate levels. What your demand is will dictate what your dose should be. |

| Drop it by 30ml and test again in a week.

| To biggypack on what was said already, remember that the B-ionic system is a " buffering " two part additive. Its made to buffer the cal and the alk, once you reach the level that you desire, watch and add accordingly. I over dosed once and almost killed a couple of corals. | Do you dose daily? I would see how much is being used up daily and then adjust your doing to keep those levels where you want. |
