|  Attention all API No3 test kits users........
Just out of curiosity, when testing for NO3, do you just barely shake the 2nd bottle or do you shake it vigorsously(30 seconds). I ask b/c yesterday I did both ways and each gave me a different reading. When I barely shook it, my reading was 5-10ppm and when I shook it vigorously, it came out 20ppm. Does the extra O2 effect the reading? How do you "shake" the bottle?

i shake vigorously for 30 sec. and my readings were always around 20ppm until i started weekly water changes then they went down just a bit 10-20ppm. i'm gonna try it w/o shaking so much. _________ 75gal hex, 2-40w T12 48", odyssea 48" 4x65w PC's w/ lunars, 50lbs LR, 80lbs LS, gold banded maroon clown, dog faced puffer, juvenile blue angel, 2 dominoes, 1-4 stripe damsel, yellow watchman gobie, lawnmower blenny, mano, purple chromis, striped grouper, mexican turbo, astrea and red foot snails, striped, red and blue legged hermit crabs, coral banded shrimp, white and purple bubble coral(very little), red and green mushrooms, orange gorgonian, candycane  Tanks, No Thanks.
