| Raise your calcium level for one! What are your alkalinity, pH and calcium levels, by the way?
If you have a high alkalinity level, raise your pH to 8.2-8.5, this will enable calcification to still take place for your corals and clams especially. Usually, if you have a high alkalinity level your pH is also high but just be sure. A water change can also lower your alkalinity level.

| Hey coral reefer, well my cal is at 400ppm, alk is high, my tester for alk doesnt have numbers, its low, normal and high. My PH was at 8.2 with the lights on. I just did a 15g water change. I have B-Ionic so I can buffer the cal and I also have a PH buffer so I guess I can buff that too, huh? What else can you suggest? |

| Try raising your calcium level to 450-500 as you have a large amount of calcium requiring animals to start! That will help to lower you alkalinity level and stop the ionic part(buffer) for a bit, but continually monitor all parameters! |

| First thing I would do is go out and buy a new test kit. Alk levels are far too important to guess at |

Let me know what you think. | Don't touch it thats perfect just keep the DKH there and the Ca at 400 to 450 and the Magnesium at 1400 to 1500 what you have it what most try to get to .. _________ Some of the world's greatest feats were accomplished by people not smart enough to know they were impossible (Doug Larson) |
