Xfering Tang to DT

Ok, well I am about to Xfer our Chevron Tang from Quarantine into our DT. Coppersafe was used in the QT tank and I want to be sure I do not get any of the Copper into the tank. I have been running a Poly Filter in the QT for about a week and it has turned completely blue...How should I go about xfering the tang?

I myself would just put some of the main tanks water into a small pail then add the same amount of Q/T water to the pail let it set in there then just Gently slide your wet open hand palm open up under the fish and set it into the main tank.. Thats how I do it that way you have 1/2 diluted any traces of copper then you don't put any of the tainted water from the pail when transfer is complete just put the pail water into the Q/T tank as a mini water change ? Oh and you don't need to fill the pail up just enough to keep it wet when its setting vertical.
