Default Will they hurt eachother???

Can someone please resolve and issue for my husband and I. Our tank is currently home to a mated pair of gold banded maroon clowns and a bubble tip anenome along with two peppermint shrimp and a fire shrimp. On a whim yesterday I bought a hatian pink anenome and a christmas anthias. They both acclimated well and seem fine so far but the female clown has been aggressive to the anthias. Will they get used to eachother?

_________

56 gal w/ 3 stage coralife light1 christmas anthias, 2 maroon clown, a green bubble tip anenome and a hatian pink tip condy, 2 peppermint shrimp, 1 fire shrimp roughly 75 nazarius snails, 3 scarlet hermits and 5 blue leg hermits. 62 lbs of live rock and 18 lbs of "dead" decor rock

Maybe but there's no guaranty. Maroons are one of the most aggressive of the clownfish so be prepared to possibly not be able to add any more fish to that tank, especially with a mated pair in an anemone. If the clowns are relentless, you could try to rearrange your rock work or remove the clowns until the new fish become acclimated.

As Annik stated, Maroon Clowns along with Tomato and Cinnamon's are the most aggressive of the Clown fish and with that come the potential for territoriality and problems for other fish in your tank! As for any fish combination...their are definitely NO guarantees.
Did you add the Anthias at night after your lights were off? Also as Annik mentioed sometimes you may get lucky if you try rearranging your tank a bit to make the Clowns less comfortable, however, as a pair, they will fight off anything near their home< the anemone and their teritory as they are in the same family as Damsels!...NEED I SAY MORE...
Hopefully all will work out or you may have to make a decision on what fish to keep!

I did add the anthias at night, I heard that was best??? The male clown seems fine and even swims with it...the female just wont let it near the BTA which has taken up residence at the upper left corner of our tank on the glass. I wish I would have read up and/or was told about the temper of a clown.

just wanna say great choice on the maroon clowns I had 2 gold band maroons and just loved them they had so much caracter to them they would feed from my hand and play with your finger tips they were probably the best fish I have ever got and yes very aggresive towards other fish just give them time they will adapt.

Maroon Clown technically are the most aggressive of all the clown unfortunately, and are the largest of the Clowns! Live and learn is how we become successful in this hobby. You should get a few books to research and reference when getting new livestock in the future for piece of mind and overall success IMO!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the help. The fish are getting along great now, I guess they had to mark their own territory and my male clown has taken to the new condy so all is well
