I am looking to buy a White Spotted Puffer (Canthigaster jactator, also known as a Hawaiian Spotted Toby) in the next few weeks but am not sure where to get one. I see both LiveAquaria and SaltwaterFish offer them, but both are out of stock. I hope this isn't a seasonal fish. Honestly I don't really understand why some are seasonal anyway unless it has to do with permits. So anyway, does anyone have any idea where I can find one? I plan to check with my LFS as well, but the only one in town here charges about 20% more than most others in the state so I would prefer to know my options first.

You could try to call one of those websites up and see if they will take special orders, or ask when they will be in stock. Or special order one from your lfs. I don't know of any other place that sells them
