What kind of flow.

I am getting ready to put my sump in( mag 7 return). And it got me thinking about flow. I am gunna take out my other power heads. I was thinking on putting a scwd on my return and then do the closed loop Melev's with a mag 7. Is that gunna be enought flow or too much? I wanna keep my options open on what I can keep in their.

A mag 7 pump that is pumping up 3 feet of pipe reduces the flow rate to 500 gph. throw in a couple of elbows and you go down even more. Add the SWCD and Pow youre down to about 300 gph. I would leave in the power heads to keep your tunover rate higher.

I put 2 quiet ones @1500 each in a closed loop on a 240 along with a quiet one sump return @700 and I don't think it's enough really. I think the mag 700 is about the same rating and all I get from the return is about 250gph from a hight of 5 feet. I'm working on surge device.
