Default upset the clowns ?

OK, I have a pair of clown fish that seem to be mating or thinking about it, they swim together and tremble occasionally. The tank is a 55 gal. one other fish, a coral beauty. Would adding several blue chromis be OK ? I think theyre related to clown fish and that could be a problem or no ? I like them because theyre small, colorful, reef-safe and cheap!

The chromas should be ok. Once you put the chromas in they are hard to catch if you decide to move them. For us they hide most of the day and only come out to eat.

I agree they are fast and impossible to catch. My group of 4 stays outs all day and only hide at night. They play chase all day long.

The Blue or Green Reef Chromis' will be fine with Clowns. Out of all the so called Damsels, they are your best best in terms of hardiness and temperment.
Moreover, a school of them makes for a dramatic and vivid color display.

I agree with the temperament. They are much more friendlier than damsels. I've seen a school of chromis on reef tanks, looks awesome.
