So have some Clowns, about 2" long True percs, They just started hosting in the anenome a few days ago and now their being super aggressive towards anything that comes near the anenome, the skunk shrimp was actually living by the anenome and they attack and bite him everytime he gets near now

Seems normal to me. My Ocellaris took to my BTA only last week and she has chased the previous cave inhabitants (yellow tail damsels) out. She's on patrol constantly. The only swimmers she allows in the time zone is her beau Clown, my Yellow Tang and my Ornate Goby. Damsels, absolutely not. Crabs, no way.Time will tell on whether she will trust passers by as not having malice for her BTA. Keep us posted. =)

Thats what hosting is all about, now the anemone affords the clowns protection from the bigger predators and the clowns protect the anemone. The behavior toward the Skunk clown is only natural, they perceive him as a threat to their home.

K makes more sense, they always seemed a little weird towards the skunk shrimp, they do alot better with the peppermints in the tank though they'll actually go to them to get cleaned

There is only 4 fish in the tank, 2x True perc, 1x blue hippo and 1x yellow tang all pretty much babies I know that fully grown that will be pushing the limits of what the tank will hold

Cleanup crew in it is
3x peppermint shrimp (mainly for aptasia control)
2x red thorny starfish
1x skunk shrimp
1x copper banded
1x emerald crab
20 assorted hermits
about 35 snails including 2 monster mexican turbos

no, those are in a 58g with 20g sump

just to reiterate, I didnt stick 2 tangs in a 24/29g tank I'm not that cruel

The blue and yellow tangs are in a 58g and their both about 3-4" in size right now

The tank is my wife's boss' who suckered me into taking care of it for him

My personal tank is the 24g JBJ setup there is 2 fish in it, both chromis and the only fish that will be in it in the long run is a pair of clowns the rest will be corals that can survive under 72w of PC's

When i move to the new house (whenever my current one sells) I'll be building another big tank but it will be 200g+ This is the plan I have for the next year or so cause it will involve building up the tank/sump/fuge and all the equipment to run it properly

Hence why I just have the nano for now, worst case they make great QT/frag tanks
