I would, but Im breaking down my big tank and trashing the sand to rid the tank of the isopods (hopefully) Moving a lot of stuff to the 40g and moving that to the living room(bought new furniture etc so I have room for a small tank in there now). I am going to get the big tank back up again, and I have almost everything I need for it. I am tired of having problems, its been one thing after another, and been doing little treatments and methods to prevent having to break down the whole tank, but enough is enough. both tanks are basically going to be new tanks, and start from scratch on the big one. I got isopods or some other parasitic pod from one of 2 people recently, and thats the last straw. Every month this year it has been something different(not kidding either, literally every month something new going wrong). Dips do not get everything, they dont kill eggs. So both tanks are going to be fishless for quite sometime. Thanks to petco for having a tank sale this week, if it wasnt for that, I dont know what I would have done, might have tossed it all out in the road.

I'll post about the tank sale cause apperently its nationwide.

Repost: I Love my Sixline

Besides its incredible beauty, it is great fun to watch whizzing around tank, playing in heavy water current and "schooling" around with other fish.

It is a fish with wonderful characteristics.

It will eat flatworms, bristle worms, small nuisance snails (esp. those that prey on clams) and is known to act as a "cleaner" to other fish that might be afflicted with some parasite such as Ick.

I often see it carefully inspecting my larger fish, which will hold still for it to do so.

While it does carry a bad rep for being overly aggressive, mine is the most docile, mellow and fish friendly in the tank. The reason being it was the last fish to be added to the population, other then my flame wrasse, which it does not bother at all. It seems to be that they will not tolerate new fish.

He has lots of personality and fun to watch him following around my coral beauty which his best friend.

The only downside that I have heard of, is that it also loves copepods which will put it in competition with other pod eaters, such as mandarins. But my mandarin is a fat little sausage so does not seem to be a problem in my tank.

So for a cheap, colorful and playful addition to a already established fish population, consider adding a sixline wrasse.

It is the perfect reef fish.

I love mine.

well I added him and turned the lights, and while inspecting the tank to see where he was, I noticed the glass was covered with literally 1000's of amphipods. Hopefully it will help mow them down.

***UPDATE***

Well the sixline, or atleast mine is definetly a cleaner. The isopods that were attacking my fish are no longer.

Told you it is a great all-purpose fish...besides being just beautiful on its own.

Im just glad I dont have to break down my tank this week to catch all the fish and put them in a QT. I am going to do that anyways in the coming weeks, but not as much of a rush now, lol. Im basically starting my tanks over. Ive had way to many problems this year with my tanks. Im looking for a 90g RR used locally. I acquired a super nice stand and canopy thats made out of red oak. So thats changed my mind about a few ideas I had.

Be Aware that while these fish are awesome - Kept in an established tank for a long time (+years) they develop obvious relationships with other long term tank mates. Posing a problem with new additions. Ive had one for over three years and routinely badgers any new fish*.My longnose Hawk currenty has Popeye and Im sure he's to blame. And Ive had the Hawk for about a year now.

*But perhaps its just a fish thing . . . . I have a False Percula Clown and a Regal Tang, (90g) all Ive had for over three years. Thier like a little underwater gang. The wrasse has never bothered with any gobie that has ever been introduced. I seem to go through a few gobies a year, and they've never had an issue.

Just something to consider . . . .
