Default Scooter Blenny in QT; food?

I got a scooter blenny today and he's in the QT. Is this a good idea, looking around I see they mostly eat cope pods? My tank is full of them but not my QT. He won't eat any food offered to him.

He looks very healthy, do you think I should just put him in my tank?

Should I fresh dip him first?

I used 1 drop of garlic in the tank.

I don't think he's going to eat any food I give him.

If it won't eat then you might have to do a FW dip or even a formalin dip if you cant QT. You only have to FW dip for a minimum of 3 min but 4-5 would be better. Just remember to adjust the temp and pH. I use a microwave to heat the water and baking soda to adjust the pH. You should also aerate the water for 15-20 min before the dip.
I'm sure others will disagree with the dip but IMO I feel its very important especially if you cant QT. You don't want to introduce infection into your main tank. I've been through that and its not fun.

My wife put some of our sand from the main tank in the QT, he's picking at it.

I was going to order some copepods from Dark Lord Corals, they refunded me, and said they didn't know what I was trying to do, looks like there site needs some work.

I've seen these bottles of CopePods:

Any one ever try them?

You want to adjust your temp and pH to the same temp as your QT or main tank.
Check out this site for tiger pods-

Have you tried live brine shrimp?

Scooters should be able to take in live mysis or live brine. That's the thing about scooters, they are just as difficult to keep fed as the mandarins, but they are a little easier than the mandarin itself.

It will take in anything small enough to fit in his mouth, try feeding him cyclops, or small plankton. Also, try hatching your own brine shrimp and feed it to him.

I don't see the need to freshwater dip your fish if you're treating it in a QT tank but that's me

Well, I'm not treating him, I'm just observing right now to see if he needs to be treated.

I have not tried live brine, or live anything, all I have is dried and frozen.

If I FW dip him, is there no need for acclimation.

He's eating zoo-plankton. It's not live, but he's eating it.

I will be purchasing from copepod.com, good looking products.
