I have one and was beautiful colour, now seems very pale and although habits have not changed, i wondered if anyone has any ideas what this might be?

Try feeding it some dried seaweed or nori on an algae clip, Most Tangs feed primarily on algae in the wild but will also eat some meaty foods.

Also how long have you had the fish and what are your water parameters? and tank size

Yes I did read that I was suggesting that you also give them Dried Algae sheets or Nori.

" all the water parameters are fine " What are your readings?

Are there any other fish in your tank that may be harassing it? Or anything else that you can tell that may be stressing this fish?

maybe the elec blue damsels, harassing? seems a bit better today, also when daylight on it seems to be pale, in darker areas goes darker

My Achilles Tang will get almost gray at night and as soon as the lights come on it quickly starts turning black.

Maybe your Sailfin is still not quite used to it's new surroundings + the added stress of the other fish may be contributing to the color loss.

Any one else want to give any suggestions? John
