| Sad day for my diamond goby When I woke this morrning I went to feed my fish. I noticed my diamond goby did not come out to eat. But I thought he might just be sleeping still. A few hours later I went to check my Chems and pushed the light back. To my shock my goby fell onto the egg create. I knew he was a jumper I could hear him some nights hitting the egg create. But I had no idea that some day he would make the one in a million chance jump and go through one of the small holes.
And for those folks that are wondering, all chems were perfect. I check for Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, PH, and DKH.
Well He was my favorite as you can see by my avitar pic.

| Thanks guys. I talked to the owner at the LFS today and she said she wraps a fabric around her egg crate for the fish that jump. She said she has had one do the same thing. I just can't believe he made that jump. I asked her about light getting through the fabric and she said it does not cause a problem. I will test it out this week and let you know.
The fabric is called tulle. |

| that sucks, you were just saying in another thread how much you liked him,
octopusus's get all the credit but fish that are jumpers are quite the escape artists themselves,i had an arrowana{prodigious jumper} who was two feet long and a solid inch and a half thick jump out threw a 3''x4'' opening, one in a million shot really but that doesn't make you feel better when you find them on the floor _________ Believe it comrade! |
