| RIP, my first tank loss. Well, my tank has been up and running now for about 6 months and I had my first fish loss yesterday! My lyretail anthias when I came home was laying on the sand bed getting eaten by all of my nassarius snails. I took him out right away. I really don't know what happened. The rest of my fish are fine. My LFS said I needed to get a couple female anthias in there to keep his bright color but he never said anything about getting them to keep the male alive. But I think he was just lonely and bored. The days before he was being very lazy, just laying around and swimming every once in awhile. I didn't think anything of it because he was still eating and swimming well when he swam. He did lose some color but I assumed that was just from not having females in there. Hopefully nothing else will follow his path.
RIP in fishy!

| Anthias shouldnt really be kept alone, I have a male and a female!
Sorry about your loss, unfortunately it happens and fish die for no explained reason. It doesnt mean you have done anything wrong, just the way it goes.
