Sorry for your loss! I agree with many others. I would go ahead and buy a grounding probe and check the water for stray voltage/current and see how that goes.

OMG! Im so so sorry. I remember my first fishies, a mated pair of false percula clowns. They died of Brooklynella. I was devistated. I cried so hard when they died. Dang petstore had an outbreak and didnt think it was important to quarantine, treat, or aknowledge the illness. Just wanted a quick buck. I hope this passes and you can soon recover your tank.

bump on the holding off for a while.
I can sympathize with your loss. It happened to me... although not from a parasite. Mine was water parameter related. Don't give up. Let your tank sit for a few weeks... than jump back in very slowly to ensure survival. Karma to you!
