ready to expel damsels

I have a couple blue damsels and a five banded damsel that I have had since I cycled my tank. Now that I am trying to add other fish these guys are beating the snot out of the new guys. I have a pink skunk clown who is getting abused..

should I chuck em in the pacific or flush em or what??

Damsels are very aggressive and territorial.Take them back to the fish store.
They may give you some store credit towards some new fish.
Just my opinion.

I thought about it but they cost 1$ each and the Okinawans are funny about stuff like returns and all.

How big is your tank ? Could try rearranging rock setting up new territories.
Otherwise I would just give the fish back when you go to get new fish.
That way someone else could use them.Recycle them so to speak.

Bring them back to the fish store and cut your losses. Putting them in the ocean is NOT an option. I wouldn't be able to flush a live, healthy fish but that's just me.

I agree. Even if you got nothing for them I would still return them.

I agree, you took responsibility for buying the fish. Be a shame to flush them for something that's in their nature.

Now that being said I went through the same thing and took me forever to catch the damsels -- I hated them but used them to cycle, however the fish store took them back although I didn't get a credit.

the complication with taking back to a LFS is my location and Japanese customs and business works.

The blue damsels are native to the region and you see em all over the place (very hard to catch. lol)

I am looking for someone who is cycling a tank though.

Regardless of the fact that the fish are native, they have been kept in a captive environment for more than a day which makes them unsuitable for reintroduction into the wild. You could easily introduce pathogens and other bad things into the wild if you put them back in the ocean.
