I have a small, really grainy video of my purple firefish spawning but I don't know how to load it up unfortunately.
So let's go with the observations until I can figure it out.
They spawned at the complete opposite end from where they normally hang out in a low flow area. I saw the male make motions similar to picking up something from the sand but I can't say for sure as I was jumping around looking for a camera. That specific activity was not repeated over the next 2 minutes while I did have the camera. Right after they finished they both went to their preferred bolt hole and spent evening and all of today there. Tonight at feeding time only the female (much thinner) came out to eat (she has a small scar from what I believe is a pompom crab/anemone encounter). It'd be cool if the babies could survive but the rest of the tank buddies are already queuing up.
    Awesome

That's amazing! It's always great to hear a pair spawning.

I tried already by shrinking it down but I wasn't able to have it load up. I probably could post to youtube but I don't want to go that route just yet - the video really is grainy, about the same quality as that sasquatch one from 30 odd years ago.
