Default Potters dwarf angel

So I am picking one up on Thursday from the LFS. He looks very healthy and should be eating by then. I came in right after they got it and it didn't look shocked or stressed, but I put it on hold for a couple days just to make sure.

I've read 3 conflicting assessments of them in various books. One says they're a great hardy angel similar to a CB. One says they're an intermediate dwarf angel and can be prone to stress related illnesses but a clean tank and good food will ensure they do well. Another says they're not a good fish period and will die within a few months in captivity no matter what I do.

The LFS has little hands on experience with them but said they always arrive alive and in good health and should do well in my tank (of course). They've been good to me, and I mostly trust the owners advice, but he addmitted he's not an expert on dwarf angels.

It's about 3.5" and VERY colorful. I have seen a few and this is a great specimen. Wild caught of course from Johnston Atoll. This will be my most exspensive single fish purchase ever so I want to make sure it had a good start and a fighting chance.

Any advice you all can offer would be greatly appreciated. I will search around and do more research as I go, but figureded I'd get my thread started early.

Thanks in advance all!

-Doug

So I got my Potters Angel today, she looks great! They didn't get it eating at the LFS, but as soon as I put her in my tank she started picking at rocks... not much, just a few little pecks here and there, but I took it as a good sign.

*fingers crossed*

So she's doing well. Doesn't have any interest in frozen mysis but picks at diatoms and algae all day, and devours snail eggs. I know it's only been a week, but she seems to be adapting so far. The first couple days she hid all day, now she's hardly ever in he cave, I usually see her hanging out with my clowns and nipping at my new macros I got from Reefcleaners.org which doesn't bother me.... I doubt she can eat all the Gracellaria he sent me before it has a chance to start growing (and half is in the fuge anyways)

I think she's eating amphipods as well, she seems to chase them around at least.
