I have a moderate sized picasso trigger in my 75g reef and he did have a love for snails, however he left my hermits and shrimp alone. As said with all fish, some are good some are bad, its just a matter of luck really. Good luck if you decide to go with it! great fish with loads of personality and extremely hardy. Mine even likes a belly rub every now and then!

only trigger I've had is an undulated and they are evil incarnated, for some reason it got along really well with this golden damsel I had back in the day, then one day the damsel died and the trigger went insane, tore the tank up, moved every piece of rock in the tank under 5# killed all the snails and hermits, i was never brave enough to put a shrimp in there with him, after that I gave him to a friend with a small shark tank, he killed the shark that was about 1' longer than him then he got moved to a large panther grouper tank where he ended up being brunch

I do have a friend looking into one of these for a 220g FOWLR setup though I'm hoping he gets one their really pretty fish, one of my fav triggers, I just wouldn't personally ever have one again

i had a blue Niger Trigger in my 55 reef tank, did not touch one coral but ate the hell out of my inverts, just about had enough of him when my molly was about to give birth and he ripped open her stomach to get the babies
