UPDATE as of 12:!2 California time.
I put the picture up at 3:30 yesterday
The OCC clown was very curious about his new tank mate (the picture). He kept going over to see what he (the pic) was doing.
Well, this morning I was doing a water change and noticed that he was sitting right on top of the Sebae anenome! He wasn't digging through it like they normally do, but he was in it. The weird thing is, he was staring at the picture while he was sitting on top of the anenome!
He has not taken it up as his home yet, but it is progress!
I will keep you posted!

Hmm... It may take time! Clown fish has to adopt to the toxins that are produced inside nematocysts (this funny cells that allow anemone to capture and paralyse its pray)!

This has been a proven theory. I shared this info with a buddy who couldn't get his perc.( tank raised) to host an anemone that he has had for a while. The fish has never hosted anything prior. We had it in our office nano. He followed the directions by putting pictures on his tank of percs. hosting anemones. He called me last night and told me within 2 hours of putting pictures up it was hosting.

Yup. Never heard of it either before I overheard a guy in an LFS explaining it to a customer. The way he explained it made perfect sense. He told the customer that, "If you take a person who has never seen a pizza, and place it in front of them, they might not know what to do with it. If you place that person in a room with others who are eating pizza, he'd get visual cues from the others and know what to do."

Chances are a clownfish has never seen an anemone. He might approach it as if it were any other potential danger, or rock, or. . . ... .
