The Dwarf Lion and Fu Man Chu do stay relatively small but again their demeanor is pretty much the same. If you don't have ornamental shrimp in your reef tanks then a small Lion could be added to a reef tank. Again they have large mouths and deficate alot causing depreciation in water quality. Thorough skimming and water changes will need to be adhered to for maximum water quality and success of your tank and livestock.
Oh yes, remember they are venomous as are Scorpionfish, Toadfish, Wraspfish and should be respected when working inside your tank. Be AWARE of where these fish are in regards to your hands!!!!!

I had a lionfish 20 years ago. He was very easy to take care of (but I would not put him with fish that are smaller than the Lionfish's mouth). I discoverdd that lionfish love to eat crabs. If you have an arrow crab, he's a gonner. My Lion ate my Arrow crab within 10 minutes of being introduced into the tank. He ate minnows, mollies and goldfish, but would also take processed pellet food.
