| New Fish!
New fish always excites me. Jewel Damsel (Plectroglyphidodon lacrymatus) (Added to Nano - 16 February 2008 )
Was looking for something small and colorful to keep my two percs company in 12 gallong Nano. Had to be a fish pretty strong willed as the percs are pretty obsessive about their home.
LFS has large Damsel/Chromis tank filled with many different varieties which he sells at $4 each.
Spotted this little guy of which there was only one in tank.
Looked ideal so is now at home in Nano, and doing very well holding own against the clowns.
Seems a wide variety of "Jewel" or "Jeweled" Damselfish, so took me a while to get identified.
But as far as damsels go, this is a very very pretty one...I like him allot. _________ AG "125," AquaC EV 180, 30 gal sump, "SCWD", 80 lbs LR, CoralSeaLife "Moonlite" Hood, PFO 250W HQI Mini-Pendant (SPS HQI 14000k bulb)
12 Gallon NanoCube - 24w stock PC 50/50 light "...nothing good ever happens fast in a reef tank, only bad things happen fast..."

| Yep, I have a great LFS. Shark Reef, Silverdale, Wa.
Has taken good care of me for long time.
Very good prices on live goods.
Not so on dry. --- but expect that is true of most LFS's. |

Exactly what I needed for my nano with two established percs.
Even now, the Damsel is giving their anemone a wide berth...well as much as it can in a Nano.
There are allot of cool looking damsels out there. Just rarely seem them in LFS. |

| Reef Aquarium Supplies - Reef Aquarium Livestock Something Fishy
this is my LFS, the guy is AWESOME. they clean each of their tanks with toothbrushes. Im happy because they expanded their opening hours Reef Aquarium Supplies - Reef Aquarium Livestock Red Scolymia :: Stony Corals :: Corals :: Livestock :: Something Fishy
also saw this in person a while ago, it looks like it does in pic, AMAZING. every tank has a 400w halide, regardless of size. Even fish-only tanks!
he has some good prices, so if you see somethin he does orders thru internet and phone. thats where i get all my corals, if only he put pics of frags there also, you wouldnt even be able to load page on comp without using 5 gigs of memory. He doesnt even list like 9/10 of his live inventory. _________ |
