| New Additions Hello again all,
I have some new additions for my 55 gallon on the way. I order 1 Yellow Tang and 1 Coral Beauty as well as a few snails and a Queen Conch. A benefit of shopping with saltwaterfish.com is that they provided me with a "free" repeat buyer prize, and I picked the serpent starfish.
I have a few questions, as they will be delivered tomorrow at noon.
First, other than feeding regularly (flake food or mysis) and the occassional (once a week or so) nori on a clip, what else would the Yellow Tang and Coral Beauty require?
Also, as for the Serpent Star, do I need to feed him chunks of squid or something? Should I be feeding him meet chunks about once a week or so? I have had bad luck with brittle stars in the past (I think its because I didn't provide them with enough targetted feeding).
Let me know what you think!
Also, any suggestions on the naming of the new additions (politically motivated)
I was thinking Jenna and Barbara for the Tang and the Beauty, Howard for the starfish, and Queen Elizabeth for the Conch?
Thanks,
Mike

| Re: New Additions Get yourself a good spirulina algae flake. That and "regular" flake food should be plenty enough to sustain your fish and inverts. I have never direct fed my serpent star and I've had him for 4 years and it is enormous. |

| Re: New Additions Sorry for being so vague about the "regular" flake food...it is formula 2. I guess I should go and get some spirulina flake food as well!
Thanks,
Mike |

| Re: New Additions I've been told, and I quote "you're not doing howard dean justice! he's better looking than that serpent star fish". I don't even know how to respond to that! |
