Unhappy My Fish Is Missing!

I noticed that my green chromis was not there this morning. I thought that maybe he was hiding----he is nowhere to be seen. Looked all over, all I can figure is that he jumped out. If he did he is [or should say was] CAT food. This is the first fish that I have lost, I guess I should look on the bright side---now I can buy a new fish. Somehow that doesn't make me happy. have any of you lost a fish and found it later in a strange place?

Maybe its hiding out or in the overflow ? We had a cleaner wrasse to go MIA back in December , he was eating flakes and was always fat and healthy and with myself going in and out of the hospital 2 times with in 3 weeks and about a 4 days each stay it was awhile before he was really missed . Until last Tuesday night there he was right out front . Still fat and healthy I guess he was over in a overflow in the corner that can't be looked in too. But I have had many a fish to go MIA over the yrs to only pop back up at some point and then sometimes they just stayed MIA (:

I had a cucumber missing for over 6 months. Found him in the overflow. And 1 of the blue neon gobies that went missing a couple of months ago was found in there also. It is amazing who goes back there, but why I just don't know. Never got the goby, he is still there. I just throw him some food every now and then. I use a flashlight to check on him. Still there.

Mine's not so weird, has happened to lots before me, but, I lost a blue damsel one time. Looked everywhere and a few days after I noticed it was missing, I looked on the floor behind the tank and there it was dried up......

Thanks guys--I don't have a overflow--would like one ,but the plumbing is over my head--maybe he is hiding. It's only been 1 day, but that is not normal for him. I only have 4 fish-should I say 3. If he jumped out I will not find the body--3 Japanese bobtails will have taken care of that!!!

I once lost an Emerald Crab, was gone for over a week, then one day I was taking out a batch of towels from the dryer and he was in there, Still alive!!, Put him back in the tank and he lived for at least another year after that.

I still can't believe that he went through the wash/dryer with all the washing detergent and still lived. I guess they are tougher than they look.

Now I don't keep clothes to be washed near the Tank.
