Incredibly hard to keep alive.

Most can't. Even the most experienced reef keepers.

Should not even be sold.

Take a pass on this one.

agreed, waste of time, should not even be sold. my friend told me of a study that was done on idols, of around 340-365 fish that were sold, only like 12-15 made it longer than 2-4 months, only 4 made it longer than 6 months!!! none longer than 1 yr. ill have to find the study.

From everything I have been told by some really experinced reefers I would stay away. They are really hard to keep. One of my LFS has one in a display tank and he is very nice looking but the owner will not sell him because he said that most likely he will be dead in a week if it goes to a new tank.
