Default Maroon and Tomato clowns together?

Ive got two tomato clowns that ive had for about 2 years. The female is huge. I recently upgraded to a 72 bow, and want to add a bubble tip anemone and two yellow strip maroon clowns would this work? Would they get along ok in a tank this big?

Welcome to 3reef jt! The tomatoes will kill a maroon in a second. Tomatoes are some of the most aggressive of all clowns. Which maroons are kind of aggressive as well , but they don't stand a chance against a pair of tomatoes.

I agree with reefman, the tomato's are very aggressive. I had a pair in my first s/w tank, they would attack my hand when I tried to clean the inside of the tank. [smiley=shocked2.gif]

The female used to be pretty aggressive, but she seems to have calmed down a bit now a days. She used to come to the front of the tank and shake her whole body at me everytime I would come near the tank. Now she just begs for food all the time. Darn Ive already ordered the Maroons there wild caught and medium sized with a bubble tip anemone. I wonder if I should setup my old 29g before they get here on Saturday.

Set something up quick jt or you'll have some dead maroons on your hands. I suggest using about 15-20 gallons of water from your 72 to fill up your 29 and then finish filling it up with new water. The reason you should do this is because of the fact that fish will not live in a uncycled aquarium and the water in your 72 is cycled. Where did you order the maroons?
