Hey I didn't mean there were no exceptions, *but my experience with mandarins dates back 30 years Sea Spender, probably before you were born
My dad was SO for the NAVY.....i usually keep up if i dont beat him in trap shoot....i believe he was trained to do a double tap then think far before i was born as well...study,drive, and IQ are the dertiminates in this hobby...not age or "in hobby" time (to an extent, nothing replaces experience unless it was halfhearted or mislead). Sorry if i was nippy but i just feel that "you should kill the LFS guy, take it back..." fall far short of helpfull opinions and were somwhat offensive to me (not personally but in general). Mandarins are hard to keep, relative to a tang or clownfish....but ive never bought something I didnt give intense focus and thought to, nor should anyone else. From his info his pod count is sufficient, If he observes it closley then he can see if it will be stable and large enough for the goby. Thier level of difficulty is somewhat of a myth fueled by those who dont have any knowledge of thier natural diet and enviorment.....aka impulse shoppers. WIth some reading and a bit of luck I think it will be fine.
