| Lawnmower blenny and eating My lawnmower blenny has seemed in the last month or so become fussy on eating. eats but eats sparlingly. His stomach is sinking in big time....i feed rods food, mysis shrimp, spectra pellets/flakes, and red/purple/green algae sheets...even soak in garlic. What else is there to get this guy to eat? |

| I have had my lawnmower blenny for about two weeks and he has never swam up to eat durring feeding. he has been busy eating alge and other stuff off my live rock. My friends got picky and now eats silver sides during target feedings. you might want to try that.

| My lawnmower has been with me for 9 months and I never see him eat anything but what he gets off the rocks and glass. He has never eaten anything else and he goes through spells where he looks skinny but I have never had a problem. I wouldn't worry.

| Are you sure he is able to get to the food. I know when I feed the tank, there is a frenzy and I have to be sure everyone gets their fair share...My Starry Blenny, very much like the Lawnmower Blenny, is a pig. He grazes all day on the glass and rock, but also eats at feeding time. He also does a good job of picking up any leftovers off of the sand...Good Luck.... _________ 72 gallon bowed 150lbs LR 60 lbs LS

| My Lawnmower has been with me for about 4 months and I've never seen him eat when I put food in. He's always busy grazing on the sand & live rock. He's never eaten flakes, mysis, plankton, seaweed, or other stuff I feed everyone else. Wish I could help, but I read Lawnmowers just feed off bacteria growth which is why you need a well established tank - preferrably over a year.
Good luck.

good luck let me know how it goes. |
