Hi All - I wanted to get opinions on peoples thoughts of adding a Kole Tang and a Tomini Tang together in one tank. I have a Kole right now for about 2 months and I want to add this beautiful Tomini Tang. Will they get along together? Your thoughts are wanted. Thanks.

what size of tank would they be going into?

I have a 65 gallon, 4 feet long about 22'' high. It has a alot of flow and live rock.

I personally wouldn't. Even though they are more peaceful tangs, they both are the same shape, which could lead into problems. thats just my opinion though.

yeah that is a negative. they are to close in body shape and color for them to get along without fighting. but if you had a bigger tank and you introduced them at the same time then there may be a possibility.

but in that 65 i would not do it for the well being of the fish.

good choise of fish though, both are beautiful!

If you really like the tomini better than the kole maybe your lfs would let you trade. I love kole and tomini tangs. I was thinking of getting one or the other for my new 90g.

Fishyz - my kole is so full of character and does some what i think to him is some fun swimming. hes all over the tank and is an eating machine.
