i do not have one, but after reasearching for a while (i wanted one also) i also found the best way was to have a safe haven for them to multiply and such so seeding a refugium would be the best idea, or setting up another small tank and growing the population

Thanks guys for all your info! It sounds like I might be waiting awhile before i get a mandarin. I think I will probably wait more than a year just to make sure there is enough grub for him.

And a ton of sandsifting snails. Leather toadstool, frogspawn, 2 pulsing xenia, bubble coral, brain coral, elkhorn, flavia, anthelia, a colt, a goniopora and a rock full of zoas.

You are better off waiting then having to lose one because your reef was not mature enough to supply him with food. Good luck
