| I was having that same problem. I purchased and I am not even sure of the name of it, but it is a piece of foam (mine is blue) and this floats in the water, with a plastic insert inside of it (mine is white) the plastic insert sticks down in the water about an inch. This keeps the food from floating at large in the water unless there are some really aggressive eaters. It has worked for me. I even bought one for my freshwater tank, but my Oscar is so big that the other fish can't get up there to eat when he is up there. So, I bought two, lol. Also, for the algae, I just bought an algae clip. I used to just suction it to the wall as it is made, but I started burying it in the sand, it looks pretty waving and is easier for the fish. My yellow tang is an aggressive eater, so I also rubberband some to a small piece of live rock. The yellow tang will just tear it out of the veggie clip and then I end up chasing pieces before they go into the overflow. |

| I feed my fish a variety of frozen cubed foods, included spirulina, brine shrimp, squid, krill, algae, etc. If I would put the entire cube in the tank, a ton of food would go to waste and just add to my trates. What I do is take a cube out, and hold it with my fingers at the surface of my tank. The fish gather to the surface and eat from the cube or peices that brake off. Some food still gets around in the tank but the fish pick it up and get a good meal each day. With the leftovers I will most likely freeze it or throw it out depending on how long I had it out for. It has been working well for me the past few months. |

| I use frozen brine and mysis (prefer flat packs of mysis and cubes of brine) and sometimes throw some Cyclop-eeze (frozen or freeze dried flakes) and purple algae in for variety. I put the food and some tank water into a small, plastic cup and allow the frozen stuff to thaw and the dry stuff to get hydrated. I then use a plastic fork to scoop the food out and place it in the tank (powerheads off, usually put the food in front of a return nozzle to help disperse it). Doing this can help keep NO3 and PO4 down as you're not adding the water that the food was frozen in which can contain loads of both substances.
For Nori, I take about 1/4 of a sheet and fold it over several times, then attach it to a feeding clip. Most of what doesn't get eaten ends up in the overflow teeth for easy removal.

| I use Ocean Nutrition frozen sponge food along with Formula Angel food diet and Formula 2 frozen. I cut the cubes up in small pieces and place them in some water and pour it into the tank. I also feed Formula 2 flakes and take a pinch and release it under water so it doesnt float on top and into the overflow. _________ 75g reef with Nova Extreme 8 bulb HO T-5 lighting, refuge, Remora skimmer, DSB, Seio powerheads, Acro's, LPS corals, assorted zoo's & mushrooms, Yellow Tang, Maroon Clown, Blue Cleaner Goby , Cleaner, Fire and Sexy Shrimp, Coco Worm, T.Crocea Clam, Derasa Clam
