I would go with a six-line wrasse like billy said. I would also give your tank some time to work out any hidden rotten-ness. You may have stuff going on in your l/r that hasn't had time to reach the water yet. After those large water changes, I'd sit it out for a week or two.

yeah that's why I shuttered at the term. The live rock has been blown off before water changes. I wouldn't put a fish in if I wasn't confident with it. I think the tank was established enough and bio filter was established enough to handle the hit. From all of my studying about cuke toxins, I have come up with this. The toxin affects the animals ability to breath and gather oxygen. that's why all of the animals that need lots of oxygen perished ie..... fish. That is why my crustacions (spelling) were able to survive the crash. The water changes don't make a bit of difference in the world to the systems stability. As long as ph is stable and nutrients are low, the rest will take care of its self. this is all why LR is important. You could do a 100 percent water change and as long as what you are putting the water into are established and mature it doesn't make any difference.
Yes I am against cycling a tank with fish but there is a point in time where you have to put that first fish in.

My tank raised clowns never hosted the bubble tip anemone when it was in there, and never tried to host the frogspawn or flower pot coral either. At night, they both just hang out in the front corner of the tank. I don't care if they don't host anything now, they don't have a need to. They have bright color and are very active and healthy, and that's more important to me.

Thought about a foxface? They're both useful and tough little fish.
