Green Mandarin

well, i just took my green mandarin back, didn't want to see it die.....now i got like 40lbs of LR and 20lbs of LS in my tank....but my tank is pretty new so i know there isn't any right now, but will that be enough to keep a mandarin in the future??? now how do u get the copepods do u have to buy them and let them just multiply or are they allready kinda living in the live rock or sand??? might sound a lil stupid but hey, im a newbie

DD nice move. I think it will be for the best.
I hate to make rules for tank or LR amounts so I won't answer that question, but you will find Pods in your tank now. They will multiply pretty fast. You can also buy them if you think you will need to

The big "pods" that you're seeing are amphipods. Dragonettes eat copepods.

Wait one night for 1 or 2 hours after the tank light are off....then look in with a flash light, you will see them on the rocks..they are a greyish clear color and look like little bugs

and I thought I was alone in that activity! You know, wait for an hour or two to get dark, get a flashlight and beam it to your tank to see and surprise the little guys there! Nasty eh? LOL

has anyone seen that long wormlike thing which splits at the end and looks like a letter T? scary looking thing.

well amcraig i was asking if the small bug like things on my tank walls were copepods. also will clownfish or blue tang bug a mandarin.
