Default Good Cleaners

how does this cleaning crew sound for my proposed tank:
1 brown-legged hermit crab
2 turbo snails
2 nassarius snails
1 scarlte lady cleaning shrimp
2 blue-legged hermit crabs

will this make my proposed bio-load too much? or will it be ok with good filtration and water changes? i also started a kalk drip to stabilize ph, alkalinity, and bring up calcium for coralline growth. :-) sound good?

OK Roger,,,
I went back and read things that I had to catch up on and Craig had helped you on the fish selection, you know what i told you about the Purple Tang,,,
That crew seems fine, unless I missed something, but remember, 2 month old tank, go slow...

Your cleaning crew should be fine. Remeber that as the cleaning crew they will increase and decrease the biolad to some degree which will be an offset. You could even go heavier on the snails and hermits for a 90 gallon. Check out www.tampabaysaltwater.com and see the recommended numbers of snails and hemits for your size tank.

As CMKII said, go slow.

Just tryin to recreate God's perfection in a glass bowl. 20 Gallon Reef W/Live Rock, mated pair of Maroon Clowns, Softies, 110 watts PC 10,000k lighting, and skimmer.

What do you mean that the cleaners will REDUCE the bioload Craig?

RogerL, never heard of a "brown legged hermit", got a picture?

I'd toss all those cleaners in at one time, your tank can handle them no problem. As for hermits and eels, trying to feed your eel live food are you? You can throw more snails and hermits it with out any problems, as long as your calcium/alkalinity and PH are all fine.

the brown-legged hermit has, well, brown legs with white stripes going down the legs. it eats junk off the sand bed, like the eel's crumbs. sorry, no computer camera yet, but when i get one i will post.
