oh! Coral bandeds will fight. You can only have two max, and only if purchased as a pair. Otherwise, they will kill each other!

use caution with the shrimp and hawkfish. I have a flame hawk about 4 inches maybe 5 and he'll destroy peppermint shrimp but has never eaten the 2 cleaners, fire shrimp or coral banded. I also make sure my shrimp are a decent size when i get em and i keep hank (flame hawk) well fed to help is interest in the shrimp to a minimum. Also if u want shrimp get the cleaners or fire instead of the cbs, at least they are beneficial to the tank...cbs are just mean. Id also forget the damsel and lionfish cause the damsels turn into bullies and the lion fish most likely will be a threat to some cool invertebrate u want down the road. If u are thinking about yer fish list like u are now then thats a good indication that you'll become obsessive LOL, and u mise well get friendly reef-safe inhabitants so u can feed yer addiction of buying live stock for your tank. let us know what u decide on doing.

man! good thing i asked, so the hawk is out,the lion is out, more cbs's are out...
i don't think a 55 is a good home for any tang so they're out too.
if i was to go with a combo of plan a and b= coral beauty, foxface, royal gramma, clowns, lawn mower blenny, and some form of goby, and 1 of a few different shrimp, fire, cleaner, peppermint and the cbs i already have?, i'm tempted to stock the small fish first and the coral beauty, foxface last, but maybe the other way around would be better.. foxface, coral beauty and so on down the line? this would be a bit of a trial by fire for me,i'm getting real good at keeping live rock and no fish!lol ,looks like i've got even more researching to do...

The best piece of advice I could offer you is to add the most aggressive fish last!!!

I would do the plan b with more fish, less agressive fish, the diversity of fish will make for a more interesting experiance with each fish doing its own thing.
