| If you're gonna add all those eventually,....then i'd prolly go w/ the beauty first cause it's more docile than the rest and you have a better chance when the time comes for your next inhabitant. not as aggressive or territorial. _________ 75gal hex, 2-40w T12 48", odyssea 48" 4x65w PC's w/ lunars, 50lbs LR, 80lbs LS, gold banded maroon clown, dog faced puffer, juvenile blue angel, 2 dominoes, 1-4 stripe damsel, yellow watchman gobie, lawnmower blenny, mano, purple chromis, striped grouper, mexican turbo, astrea and red foot snails, striped, red and blue legged hermit crabs, coral banded shrimp, white and purple bubble coral(very little), red and green mushrooms, orange gorgonian, candycane Tanks, No Thanks. | Angels and Tangs require alot of space to roam and forage for food. Plus aggressiveness by them and the possible "reef safe" debate with regards to corals, anemones and other inverts poses a problem.
Green Chromis' are a close relative of the Clowns and Damsel fish but without the tendancy for being boisterous(aggressive), plus they make a beautiful sight with a school of 5 or more!!!!!!!!
Alot depends on what you would like to purchase later on in terms of fish and inverts!!!! Compatibility issues can be a factor now as well as in the future!
It is advantageous to add the most aggressive fish species last, to curb aggression!!!! | From experience I would suggest 3 Chromis at first, followed by 2 clowns....the rest is up to you, but if and when you decide to add a Yellow Tang, add this one last. They are very aggressive and require plenty of space.
Good luck, keep us posted as what you decide.
You may want to consider adding a Skunk Shrimp and a few Hermit crabs to keep everything clean. _________
Fish only aquarium: 55 gal. Bio-Wheel Wet/Dry Biological Filter and the use of Pura Complete and a Nano Skimmer : Fish: Yellow Tang, Pacific Blue Tang, (2) Percula Clowns, (3) Green Chromis, Skunk Shrimp, Cleaner Wrasse, (5) Hermit Crabs, Yellow Tail Damsel, Four Stripe Damsel. |
