Default Fimbriated eel
Anyone else that has an eel how much do you feed them on average just wondering mine decided to start eating 4-5 large gold fish a day he was only eating 2-3 in 2 days this all started like 5 days ago do they poss. have a growth spirt (that was probably a stupid question.)

Are you just feeding goldfish? If you are then its not too healthy for your Eel.

I feed krill and silversides. Sometimes every other day, just so I dont wake up to a few fish missing. Sometimes it wont eat for a week or more...its normal. But always offer.

ive been feeding him silversides and big shrimp from grocery store but on occasion put in a goldfish or damsel for the kids to watch. (they love it) he was eating like 4-5 times a day for a week now. today only had 2 so I dont know Ill just keep feeding him Im gonna have to set my 55 gal back up just for him if he gets any bigger.
